The long-awaited new museum for Varkaus residents will open at the Factory School in spring 2024. The new museum will be an unprecedented, experiential combination of the shared history and future of the city, its residents, and Varkaus industry. The Million Tree Walk is a symbolic farewell to the meritorious work of the Varkaus Museums in preserving Varkaus' industrial heritage –and celebrating the beginning of a new era as the new museum – with a new and expanded scope.
